frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Mission LTE provides its customers with Internet while traveling, RVing, at the cabin and more. Internet is provided by a router that works with cellular antennas, so you’re able to connect multiple types of devices to a single Internet source: the router.
What do I need?
– A router (4 different types)
– A SIM card (Canada / USA)
– A data plan (depending on your location)
The Canada SIM card (standard) is rechargeable and reusable. All you have to do is buy a data refill when your balance is almost exhausted. Data recharges (Canada) are 10, 25 or 50GO. Refills purchased will be added to your current balance.
For a Canada and USA installation, you can purchase the CAN-USA-MEX package, which provides 100 GB per month over a period ranging from 1 month to 12 months (depending on your choice). The SIM card automatically comes with the package.

Available routers and their features:
- Pocket router: The pocket router is battery-powered, so it’s easy to take anywhere, but it doesn’t pick up the signal as well as the other two. Only available in Canada ($99.95)
- Alcatel Hub Link Router: The Alcatel Hub Link is very good for non-rural travelers who are close to the network. It must be plugged in at all times, but it still works when plugged into a USB socket. It also works in Canada and the U.S. ($149.95)
- InHand CR202 Router: The InHand CR202 router is a portable 4G cellular router with wired/cellular network access modes for your needs. It features a high-speed cellular network and is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery (approx. 8 hours of continuous use). What’s more, it supports up to 30 connected devices and is functional in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico ($309.95).
*Routers come with all accessories listed in their respective descriptions (antennas, charging wire, cable, etc.).
- For the Pocket Router: in the router’s main menu.
- For the Alcatel Hub Link router: on the back of the router.
- For the InHand CR202 router: on the back of the router.
You can change the router password. However, if you forget the password, we can’t help you.
As this is not one of our standards, we don’t recommend changing these settings. However, you can do so by entering the router’s web page. If you change these settings, however, you become responsible for your device’s configuration, and we won’t be able to help you if you lose your password, for example.

We use Rogers antennas. However, our routers do “rooming”. In other words, if they can’t connect to a Rogers antenna, they connect to Bell antennas to continue offering you a signal. The signal may not be as good, however, since rooming routers don’t get signal priority over Bell users.
For Canada, we use Rogers antennas. However, our routers are rooming (i.e., if they can’t connect to a Rogers antenna, they connect to other providers’ antennas to continue offering you a signal. The signal may not be as good, however, since when rooming, routers don’t get signal priority over users of direct providers.
For the U.S. (100 GO/month CAN-USA-MEX package), we use AT&T and Rogers antennas; rooming/roaming is also possible.
- The Pocket Router works in Canada and the U.S. (but we recommend its use only in Canada).
- The Alcatel Hub Link router works in Canada and the U.S.
- The InHand CR202 router works in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
It’s possible to buy a SIM card and package without buying a router if you already have an unlocked router. However, you’ll need to configure your router’s APN (along with ours) to work with the SIM card.
The ICCID code is located on your SIM card. It’s the last 12 digits of your SIM card. Our team always inserts a sticker with the information in the box, or on the box of the equipment you receive. However, we advise against removing the SIM card, to avoid damage. You can write to us to obtain it if you don’t have it.
Your 100 GO/month CAN-USA-MEX plan starts on the date you want. When ordering a CAN-USA-MEX plan, you can tell us the date you want the SIM card to be activated and available for use. If you don’t yet have a date in mind, you can let us know later, but at least one week before the date you want it to be activated.
The routers we offer are unlocked for other SIM card providers. This means they can be used with any internet provider. Unfortunately, if you use another provider, we can no longer help you with any problems. You will have to contact the provider directly.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer unlimited internet. For data in Canada, we offer 10, 25 or 50GO data recharges. These data recharges have no expiry date, so they can be used until they run out. What’s more, we have a 100-GB monthly plan for periods ranging from 1 month to 12 months, operating in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Data consumption depends on a number of factors: resolution, format, number of beats, etc. For example, one hour of Netflix uses around 1GB of data in standard definition (per device), and this amount can be comparable to other viewing platforms.
Data spending begins as soon as an application using Wi-Fi is used, and data is spent on consumption.
To view your Canadian balance, go to https://solde.missionlte.ca/members/check, then enter the last 12 digits of your SIM card (found on the back of the card or on its packaging).
You do not have access to your CAN-USA-MEX balance. You need to write to us to know your balance, since we have an AT&T platform to access our customers’ balance.
Reloads are done by our team members. You don’t have to do anything during one. Modifications are made on our side; and when the reload is processed and completed, you receive an e-mail confirming it. There may be a delay of a few hours following an order before the recharge is processed.
If you already have a Canadian SIM card, you don’t need to buy another one to get data. Just go to our website (https://www.missionlte.ca/boutique/fr/boutique/), and place an order for a Canada data top-up (10, 25 or 50GO). With the information you enter, we’re able to match the order to the right profile; if not, a member of our team will contact you to clarify the request.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to recharge and reuse a CAN-USA-MEX SIM card once it has expired. You need to purchase a new CAN-USA-MEX plan (SIM card and data), and then exchange the first SIM card for the second.
